Cardano Prepares for Vasil Network Upgrade

cardano team’s developer Input Output announced that the long-awaited Vasil hard fork has reached its final stage before its release.

According to the announcement by Input Output, a proposal has been submitted to hard fork the blockchain testnet, and the countdown has begun for the upcoming mainnet upgrade.

Input Output released Cardano node 1.35.0 last week, which marked a “significant milestone” for its team of developers. After involving 75% of share pool operators, the developers were able to maintain sufficient chain density to move forward with the Vasil testnet.

The lead developer of the Cardano team announced that they are targeting the end of July for the big upgrade. Input Output has repeatedly stressed that it wants to make sure the hard fork will be “safe and secure”. The community and crypto exchanges will need at least four weeks to test the hard fork before the next mainnet launch.
