BMW i3 Sedan 2022 introduced: Here are the features

When BMW stepped into the electric car market with the i3 model, it brought many discussions with it. Introduced in 2013, the electric car was talked about a lot with its different design. The i3, whose design has changed several times during its long production life, has always preserved its general lines.

While the electric hatchback model bids farewell to the production line in July, we are also faced with a new model. But the new BMW i3 is quite different. Although the model name of the vehicle is preserved, this time a sedan is waiting for us.

Sad news from the electric BMW i3

BMW made a sad decision for the i3 model, one of the first electric cars. The company fell victim to the indifference of US customers.

The new BMW i3 Sedan has 285 horsepower

When we take a look at the shared photos, we see that the electric model has thinner daytime running lights, unlike the 3 Series. In addition, blue details and “i” logos on various parts of the vehicle have moved away from the standard 3 Series. Aerodynamic wheel covers have also taken their place in the electric car.

In the new model, called the BMW i3 eDrive35L, the electric power unit is located on the rear axle. The model, which will be offered as rear-wheel drive, reaches 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds.

100 kilometers on a 10-minute charge

The new BMW i3 Sedan has a large battery of 70.3 kWh, aided by its long wheelbase. According to data from China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle, the electric car will offer a range of 526 km. It takes 35 minutes to increase the battery of the electric model from 10 percent to 80 percent with the help of the 95 kW unit. It is also possible to provide a range of approximately 100 km to the vehicle with a 10-minute charge.

The production of the new BMW i3 Sedan, developed for the Chinese market, will also be in this country. The new electric car, the fruit of the Bavarian manufacturer’s Brillance partnership, will go on sale in May.
