Dusseldorf What a year – in February the Russian government’s war of aggression in Ukraine begins. It is the beginning of a turning point. Since then, the energy crisis, supply bottlenecks and fears about the future have largely dominated our (business) life. In terms of digitization and sustainability, the German economy is also undergoing what is probably its greatest transformation.
Who are the thinkers and leaders of this complex event? Who is gaining influence, who is losing, and which personalities are likely to occupy our minds in 2023? For the 13th time in a row, the Handelsblatt has chosen “People of the Year”.
The jury this year included: digital entrepreneur Katharina Jiinger (founder of the Teleclinic), Vice Chancellor a. D. Philipp Rösler (FDP), personnel consultant Constanze Buchheim (ipotentials), shareholder protector and corporate governance expert Marc Tüngler (German Protection Association for Securities Ownership) as well as entrepreneur and BDI President a. D. Ulrich Grillo. There were also Sebastian Matthes, Tanja Kewes and Claudia Panster from the Handelsblatt editorial team.
