An earthquake of 7.4 magnitude occurred at 04:17 in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş province today. Surrounding provinces, especially Hatay, Adana, Osmaniye, Diyarbakır, Malatya and Şanlıurfa, were also affected by the earthquake. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the current earthquake situation report in his statement today at noon. After the earthquake, which was effective in the surrounding cities such as Kahramanmaraş and Hatay and Adana in the Southeastern Anatolia region, it was announced that there were nearly a thousand dead and more than 5 thousand injured. Nearly 3,000 buildings were completely destroyed, while at least hundreds of them were heavily damaged.

Turkey woke up with a large-scale earthquake. The size of the earthquake, which was announced as 7.4 in the first place, has been updated.
In addition, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that after Turkey’s call for support after the earthquake, 45 countries responded to the request for support. 23 of these countries said they were ready to send aid to Turkey, some even said that the shipments had started and the teams were on their way.
Let’s also say that the TAF and other law enforcement agencies support search and rescue activities. 11 metropolitan municipalities such as Istanbul and Ankara announced that they directly brought aid and manpower to 10 cities where the earthquake was felt.
