Spotify brings ease of use for premium subscribers
With the update, Spotify separates playback and shuffle options for Premium subscribers. The company has announced that it has now started offering two separate options that will replace the combo play/shuffle button located at the top of playlists and artist pages.
Spotify hiked prices!
As of today, Spotify has hiked all prices by 15%. However, it was again the most expensive subscription service on the market.
The change is expected to come to Android and iOS devices in the coming weeks. Spotify announced the new feature on its website with the following statement:
This new change will allow you to choose your preferred mode at the top of playlists and albums and listen the way you want. Whether you like to enjoy the unexpected with ‘shuffle’ mode or prefer to take turns listening to songs by simply pressing Play, Spotify has it all.
Spotify’s obsession with shuffling tracks has occasionally sparked backlash. Some artists did not remain unresponsive to this situation. The famous singer Adele was one of those who reacted to this approach of Spotify. Spotify also featured the standard play button by default instead of the ‘play / shuffle’ combination on album pages, upon the reactions.
On top of this development, Spotify now aims to offer Premium subscribers a more comfortable use by completely separating both functions. It is also a matter of curiosity how Spotify will react with this interface change that it will offer for paid and free uses.
