Popular restaurant chain McDonald’s changed its logo in Russia operations, which it transferred due to the Russia-Ukraine war. The fact that the new logo has extremely simple lines has also drawn some criticism.
After Russia’s attack on Ukraine, governments and companies from all over the world began to impose various sanctions against Russia. US based fast food chain McDonald’s was also among the companies that imposed sanctions on Russia, but the withdrawal process of McDonald’s from Russia was a little different than many other companies.
In fact, McDonald’s offered different companies the right to use their names and menus in every country they were in. After the brand’s withdrawal from Russia, the company that manages McDonald’s operations in Russia has decided to use the fast food chain they already own under their own name. For this reason, McDonald’s logo has been changed specifically for Russia.
McDonald’s original logo and new logo to be used in Russia
