In two months the Ukraine war will already last a year. If we add the annexation of Crimea and the Donbass conflict since 2014, this war in the heart of Europe has now lasted almost nine years – far too long, with far too many civilian casualties and casualties. This makes the question of how and when this war will finally end all the more urgent.

The following ten points are of varying strategic, military or humanitarian importance, but will all play a role in the search for peace in Ukraine:

First: Above all, we need a crystal-clear Western strategic objective, a clear narrative. It could go something like this: If Russia should be successful with its continued attack on Ukraine, which violates international law, the security not only of other regional neighbors but of the whole of Europe will be comprehensively called into question.
