Ukraine is crowdfunding drones

Drones of Ukraine

Ukraine is now additionally financing its army through crowdfunding.

Actually, many Ukrainians know Serhiy Prytula with his three-day beard and mischievous smile as the face of a talent show or as the moderator of the singing competition “Vidbir”, where the Ukrainian candidates for the Eurovision Song Contest are selected.

In between he also tried his hand at politics and ran for the Ukrainian parliament and for the post of mayor in Kyiv. Since war broke out in Ukraine, Prytula has been fighting as a volunteer in the Ukrainian army. He continues to use his fame – for example to finance unmanned combat drones and military equipment for the army.

He’s not the only one calling for crowdfunding for drones, weapons and protective gear in Ukraine. The National Bank of Ukraine has set up a donation account to which you can donate money to the Ukrainian military via the PayPal payment service.
