Dusseldorf Thomas Wickop is a sixth generation pharmacist. Since he took over the Einhorn Apotheke in Darmstadt two years ago, one question has been on his mind: “How can I ensure that the pharmacy will still exist in 30 years?” The musings made the 32-year-old a part-time founder.
With the start-up Vaya Health, he wants to make on-site pharmacies fit for a world in which customers demand online orders and fast deliveries. “If we as pharmacists do nothing, we will be pushed out of digital platforms,” says Wickop.
