iPad models that will be out of iPadOS update!- ShiftDelete.Net

Apple will release iPadOS 17 in the fall. With the arrival of the new generation operating system, some iPad models will lose their update support. According to new reports, Apple will cut major update support for 3 iPad models with the iPadOS update.

3 iPad models will not get iPadOS 17

According to the latest information, the 5th generation iPad introduced in 2017, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro introduced in 2016 and the first-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro released in 2015 will not receive new operating updates. In line with the claims, these three different models will remain in iPadOS 16.

All three tablets feature different versions of Apple’s A9 processor, which debuted with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in 2015. Last year, Apple ended its support for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus with the A9 processor, as well as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models with the A10 processor.

Getting ready to introduce iOS 17 in June, Apple has started rolling out the second beta version for iOS 16.5.

The 6th generation and 7th generation iPad models also host the A10 processor. Although it has not been clarified yet, it seems likely that Apple will withdraw its support for these models. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro and the second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which have the faster and newer A10X processor than the A10, will likely get iPadOS 17.

On the iPhone front, Apple is expected to maintain support for all models that support iOS 16, starting with the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. We’ll get our first look at iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 at WWDC on June 5th.

While the beta tests of the iOS 17 version continue, we have already started to have an idea about the renewed operating system. So what do you think about the iPadOS 17 update and iPad models that will end their update support? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
