Berlin The BVI fund association reports a record year for 2021. The industry managed 4.3 trillion euros over the past year – more than ever before. The President of the German Fund Association BVI, Alexander Schindler, presented the “record figures” at the annual press conference in Frankfurt on Thursday.
The sales figures had also risen to a record high. Investors bought for 256 billion euros net. “2021 was an exceptional year,” comments Schindler.
He sees two driving forces in particular: increased inflation and negative interest rates. “In view of this situation, many citizens have discovered securities investments for themselves,” analyzes the BVI President.
