If we look at the newly released features of Dimensity 9400, which was revealed to be the largest processor in previous leaks, the new chipset seems to eliminate its competitors with the BlackHawk architecture using Cortex-X5. The new processor, produced in partnership with ARM and MediaTek, can exhibit higher performance against processors such as A17 and Qualcomm Oyron with its architecture.

Another important issue is that the Dimensity 9400 will not have efficiency cores, similar to its previous version, the 9300. In this way, it can perform better in tasks that use multi-threading. According to leaks, MediaTek’s processor even surpasses Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, A17 Pro, and Qualcomm Nuvia, showing higher performance in transactions per hour.

In its revealed features, Dimensity 9400 will have an eight-core 3nm processor, including one Cortex-X5 Prime, three Cortex-X4 Prime, and four Cortex-A720 cores. It is also said that MediaTek, which is expected to pay attention to the problems that occurred in its previous models, will offer stronger cooling and efficiency in the new chipset.

Dimensity 9400, which is expected to be introduced in the last quarter of 2024, is a flagship-level processor and will also host artificial intelligence features and LPDDR5T support.
