Dusseldorf The leading German index is looking for new stopping points after yesterday’s slide. Because the previous psychologically important mark of 14,000 points is obsolete – as are the two lows in April at around 13,860 points.

For the capital market expert Thomas Altmann from the investment house QC Partners, it is not easy to “identify crucial brands” above the annual low of 12,438 points that could slow down the price decline. Psychologically, in his opinion, the round mark of 13,000 points “certainly plays a very important role”.

At the start of trading, the trend continues downwards. The Dax starts with a minus of 0.6 percent and a score of 13,668 points. Yesterday’s closing level was 1.2 percent lower at 13,756 points. After hours, the leading index slipped around 10 p.m. to 13,643 points.
