Apple tops out Pro Display XDR: 7K Studio Display is on the way!

In 2019, Apple introduced the Pro Display XDR, a monitor for professionals, whose price is much higher than the normal models we will find on the market. Of course, from the outside, it can be confused with iMacs. However, these devices come without a computer hardware. Now, after 3 years, it has been revealed that the company is working on a new model called Studio Display.

Surprise OLED display deal between Apple and Samsung

Samsung will sell its new OLED displays to Apple. The renewed OLED screen, which is likely to be on the iPad, will offer longer battery life.

Apple Studio Display features

Most details are not yet clear for the new Studio Display, which is expected to be available by Apple in the second half of this year or the first quarter of next year. These include whether Pro Display XDR will continue to be sold in the coming period.

But when we look at the features that emerged as a result of the leaks, we can say that it will be positioned above it. Because Pro Display XDR uses a 32-inch panel with a 6K resolution of 218 PPI. Studio Display, on the other hand, will use a panel that offers 7K resolution at 245 PPI. But allegedly, if it goes on sale as 36 inches instead of 32 in size, the PPI value may remain as 218.

In July of last year, Apple was testing a variant of an A13 chip with the code J327. At that time, it was claimed that it would be used for the next version of Pro Display XDR. Therefore, we are highly likely to see this in Studio Display.

Another claim came from Mark Gurman, who is known for his lucky predictions about Apple. Gurman said that Apple will introduce new monitors targeting multiple Mac models and regular users in 2022. But he says this device will go on sale for half the price of Pro Display XDR. Therefore, it is very unlikely that this is Studio Display. However, we may see other models.
