What will the auto industry look like in ten years, Mr. Denner?

From 2035 onwards, diesel and gasoline cars will no longer be registered. At least that is what the EU Commission’s proposal provides. Specifically, this means that cars with internal combustion engines no longer have a future in Europe. Bosch is one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers and has already made electric drives its core business. The Swabian company also relies on hydrogen. Bosch wants to invest more than one billion euros in fuel cells alone by 2024.

Handelsblatt editor-in-chief Sebastian Matthes spoke to Bosch boss Volkmar Denner about the future of the automotive industry and alternatives to traditional drive technologies.
