The richest stock market in the world Bitcoin (BTC) whale is getting ready to enter the markets once again. With more than 120,000 BTC worth about $5.5 billion, the whale bought 3241 more BTC as the price dropped.
The address, which is the third richest whale after wallets belonging to Binance Bitfinex exchanges, bought 289 BTC and then 2952 BTC on April 5th. The total value of these BTCs exceeds 145 million dollars.
The whale’s movements in recent weeks have been as volatile as the price of Bitcoin, and this week’s accumulation period comes days after a series of big breakouts.
From March 21 to the end of March, the same whale had sold 3000 BTC. Between April 1 and April 5, another 4500 BTC left the wallet. The total amount of BTC leaving the wallet rose to over $325 million in a short time.
Blockchain analytics firm glassnodeThe on-chain analyst noted that April typically results in heavy Bitcoin buying. Using the nickname Checkmate, the analyst stated that both whales and those with less than one BTC tend to buy in April. According to the analyst, he stated that although it is early to share a clear result, a large volume has left the market recently.
Bitcoin was trading at $44,890 at the time of writing.
