The father of two also goes viral on YouTube with his carpenter’s workshop. He founded his channel Nobel-Hobel two years ago and now has 26,000 subscribers. Rüddel: “A lot of manual knowledge is lost – thanks to YouTube it is retained and also reaches the young.”
He himself has already trained five apprentices, all of whom are still in the carpentry trade today: “I have one-on-one support, that’s valuable.”
Rüddels offer is broad. “People come on recommendation, mostly from the region.” And he can hardly save himself from orders. He usually works 14 days in a row on the custom-made individual pieces: “I am proud of my works that I can act creatively. I would like to keep every piece of furniture myself that I hand over, but of course that is not possible. “
