NFT headquarters Dapper Labs has cut off payment services for non-replaceable token holders with ties to Russia, citing European Union sanctions in a blog post.

Dapper, the company behind popular NFT collectibles like the NBA Top Shot, said that “providing crypto-asset wallets, accounts or custodians of any value to accounts linked to Russia is now prohibited.”

In a statement citing the payment processor, Dapper said that affected users will still be able to look at their NFT, but they will not be able to move funds, gift tokens, sell NFTs, or buy new ones.

The European Union had upheld a ban on transferring funds to Russian crypto wallets, accounts and custodians, following restrictions proposals a week ago.
