Xbox One is losing game support!

The Xbox One model, introduced by Microsoft on May 21, 2013, has been in our lives for a long time. After the game console, which has been on the market for 10 years, Microsoft has offered many different Xbox models for sale. Now, with the release of new models, the long-awaited bad news for Xbox One has come.

End of the road for Xbox One

Finally, Microsoft, which released the Xbox Series X / S models in 2020, announced the bad news for the Xbox One. The company has announced that they will no longer produce new games for the eighth-generation game console. After this long-awaited decision, Xbox One users are very upset.

Matt Booty, president of Xbox Game Studios, announced in an interview that the company has moved to the 9th generation and none of Xbox’s 23 game studios, including Turn 10 Studios and Double Fine Productions, are no longer working on games compatible with Xbox One. However, Booty stated that support for games like Minecraft will continue.

While rumors about PlayStation 5 Pro increased, an official statement about a new Xbox console came. Here are the details.

Booty also states that although there are no new first-party games in the works for Xbox One, Xbox One will continue to have access to these new first-party games such as Starfield on the console via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Thus, Microsoft will have fulfilled the promise it made last year for the Xbox One.

This announcement by Microsoft came right after Xbox’s Games Showcase event. At this event, the giant technology company shared the updates of first-party developers as well as innovations offered by some third-party developers.

Xbox One, which has been in our lives for more than 10 years, is unfortunately now saying goodbye to new games. However, as the company has stated before, its support for some games will continue.
