Hepsiburada continues to take important steps towards supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs. Nilhan Onal Gökçetekin, the CEO of the company, told the world about Turkey’s efforts in the field of women entrepreneurship during the meetings held within the scope of the 68th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women – CSW68. In cooperation with the UN and the Turkish Women Entrepreneurs Association – KAGİDER – she shared projects for the economic development of women and activities to support women entrepreneurship in the earthquake zone.

From Nasdaq to Times Square: Hepsiburada continues its support for women entrepreneurs!

Hepsiburada has been running a special program to support women entrepreneurs since 2017. Within the scope of this program, there are currently nearly 50 thousand brand-owning female entrepreneurs, and this number is aimed to reach 120 thousand by 2030. The company aims to contribute to the economic development of women entrepreneurs by increasing their experience with different collaborations and cooperatives.

Gökçetekin stated that the inclusion of Hepsiburada and Turkish flag visuals on the Nasdaq stock exchange’s digital billboards in Times Square is an important source of pride for Turkey. This visibility helps the company gain international recognition for its support of female entrepreneurs.

Hepsiburada celebrates March 8 International Women’s Day with the story of an entrepreneur woman who made her dreams come true.

After the February 6 earthquakes, Hepsiburada went to the region with thousands of employees and increased its efforts to heal the wounds of the earthquake by using economy and technology. In this process, specialized centers were opened to train women entrepreneurs and a target was set to reach 5 thousand people.

In a project carried out in cooperation with UN Women and KAGİDER, boxes consisting of products produced by local women’s cooperatives were prepared. These boxes have been described as a wonderful gift that will be passed from woman to woman. Then it was put up for sale in Hepsiburada. These boxes, which contain local products such as raw tahini, pomegranate syrup, silk shawls and dried fruits, attracted great interest.

Nilhan Onal Gökçetekin also invites all women who have any ideas to join the Hepsiburada platform. The company says it will support women entrepreneurs in matters such as advertising, taking product photos and marketing.
