Wirelane is vacating offices for an ice hockey team from Ukraine

Munich The children play at the conference table, mattresses are spread out next to the desks, showers are taken in the yoga studio next door: The women’s ice hockey team, the Kharkiv Panthers, found refuge from the horrors of the Ukraine war on the office floor of the Munich start-up Wirelane.

Founder Constantin Schwaab had seen the first Ukrainian refugees in downtown Munich when he returned from his skiing holiday after carnival. The stark contrast made it clear to him that something had to happen. “As long as our people are in the home office, we have space available,” he says. He spontaneously decided to take in refugees.
