The FTX Hacker Who Takes Action Has These 6 Altcoins in His Wallet!

As we reported in the morning, approximately 2,500 Ethereum (equivalent to $4 million) tied to the FTX exchange exploit last year suddenly began to move. It marked the first activity in almost a year. Blockchain data available to the public revealed this interesting development. So, which altcoin projects are in the hacker’s wallet? Here are the details…

FTX hacker transferred mostly ETH

cryptokoin.com As we reported in the morning, the FTX hacker took action. The movement of these funds was arranged through a series of transactions to maintain anonymity. 700 of the 2,500 Ethereum were transferred using the Thorchain Router, a cross-chain bridge known for its emphasis on privacy. The other 1,200 Ethereum was secretly moved via Railgun, a privacy-focused DeFi wallet known for facilitating protected transactions. Remarkably, 550 ETH is still located in another wallet and its purpose has not yet been disclosed.

The exploit, which depleted significant assets of FTX and its U.S. subsidiary, occurred on November 11, 2022, shortly after the exchange filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. This event coincided with the resignation of disgraced founder Sam Bankman-Fried. The exact method behind the fund drain and the identity of the perpetrators remain a mystery, leaving the cryptocurrency community in suspense. Notably, at the time of the exploit, approximately 21,500 ETH (equivalent to $27 million at the time) had been converted into the stablecoin DAI. Meanwhile, it’s important to note that Bankman-Fried is scheduled to appear in court next week, maintaining his innocence to all charges.
