The last episode of Open Microphone, hosted by Muharrem İnce, hosted an advertisement that surprised everyone. We explain what the ad is and how it came to be.

While Turkey has started counting the days for the May 14 general elections, citizens continue to closely follow the views of the presidential candidates and politicians. BaBaLa TV’s Open Mic showis one of the most popular programs where politicians and the public come together.

But the 10th episode of the program, which hosted Muharrem İnce, featured one of the biggest examples of targeted advertisements. Viewers who opened the episode that aired yesterday, as soon as you open the partition Came across this ad:

The ad that appeared in Open Mic Episode 10:

“Please don’t mess with your TV settings, it’s currently being fine-tuned to split votes.”

The ad was created with artificial intelligence and it is not known by whom

So how does this ad get in front of everyone? Is BaBaLa TV to blame?

No, BaBaLa TV is not responsible for running the ad and it has no control over it. The ads we see in YouTube videos are created by an advertiser. Created for a fee paid to Googleis published in, before or after the videos, without any control of the publisher parties over the advertisement.

This advertisement we see is different from most advertisements. The anonymous advertiser appears to have paid Google to run this ad only on Episode 10 of Open Mic. Ads, totally aimed at the audience of this video.

It is very simple to run such an advertising campaign through Google Ads. In the ‘Placements’ panel when advertising can only select a specific video or videos, you can make the ads appear only on these videos. Of course, when such a pinpoint target is selected, the price you will pay for the advertising campaign increases greatly.
