The US Basketball League NBA, which is closely interested in the crypto industry with its NFT collection and crypto money partnerships, came to the fore with a new project.
Michael Jordan, who won 6 NBA championships and is known as the greatest player of all time, and his son Jeffrey Jordan, announced a new Web3.0 project to be built on the Solana blockchain.
The fan engagement platform called “HEIR” aims to connect fans with popular athletes.
Also, the “HEIR platform” founded by Michael Jordan is also planning the launch of the “HEIR token” built on the Solana blockchain.
Jeffrey, son of the legendary basketball player, described HEIR as “a next generation holding company that will build culturally inspired consumer brands rooted in technology and entertainment.”
HEIR Holdings will be headed by Jeffrey Jordan, son of the NBA legend, alongside Nike’s former brand manager Jeron Smith and marketing consultant Daniel George.
The HEIR platform, scheduled to launch in 2022, has raised $10 million in its funding round. The funding round was attended by Thrive Capital, Solana Ventures, Reddit co-founder and Seven Seven Six founder Alexis Ohanian, Chicago Bulls player Lonzo Ball and New York Knicks VP William Wesley.
