ITU has developed a debris listening application without internet connection!

The effects of the 7.6 and 7.7 earthquakes, the epicenter of which are in Kahramanmaraş and a total of 10 cities were deeply affected, continue. With many of our people under the rubble, our citizens are trying to do their best. So much so that with the announcement made today, the news of the application made for the earthquake came from the ITU Music Advanced Research Center.

ITU has developed a debris listening application without internet connection!

A new application has been developed in order to isolate the voices of the earthquake victims under the debris in the earthquake zone. As a result of the work carried out at ITU Music Center for Advanced Studies, a debris listening application was made on a website that did not require downloading and internet connection. This application can distinguish the human voice from external sounds by adjusting the frequency. In addition, the recordings are kept on your device.

This practice is of great importance for earthquake survivors who fell under the rubble as a result of the earthquake that deeply affected Adana, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa. It should be noted that it does not work on some IOS devices at the moment.
