“Indecisiveness is weakness” – Nato disappoints Kiev

Vilnius The NATO states promised Ukraine new weapon systems at their summit in Vilnius, but disappointed the most important expectation of the government in Kiev: the alliance partners could not agree to invite Ukraine to join NATO.

Above all, the USA and Germany refused to include such wording in the final declaration of the summit.

The communiqué simply states: “We will be able to extend an invitation to Ukraine to join the Alliance if the Allies agree and the conditions are met.”

President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is working to ensure that Ukraine is admitted to NATO as quickly as possible, reacted sharply: “Indecisiveness is weakness,” he wrote on Twitter. “For Russia, this is an incentive to continue its terror.”
