Today, workers-employers and the government came together and held a meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission. At the meeting where President Erdoğan also stepped in, the minimum wage that will be valid as of January 2024 was determined. After the meeting, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced the new minimum wage.
How much is the minimum wage? – January 2024
January 2024 net minimum wage as of 17 thousand 2 TL, gross 20 thousand 2 TL happened. It was said that 700 TL of this amount would be given as minimum wage support. If we look at the general total, the minimum wage corresponds to 578 dollars as of January 27, 2024.
In addition, the increase in the minimum wage was 49 percent compared to the previous period, that is, July 2023. If we look at it on an annual basis, we see an increase of 100 percent compared to January 2024.
