Google Drive video problem is solved with the new update

Google Drive is undoubtedly the most popular among cloud-based file storage tools. The only problem with Google Drive, which was very attractive as an ecosystem, was that it took a long time to upload videos. Now the Google Drive video upload problem is also solved.

How to solve the Google Drive video problem?

Uploading videos to Google Drive is very easy thanks to Android sharing tools. However, video playback was not on par with YouTube, another service operated by Google. Videos were taking too long to load.

The Google Drive team has now announced an update and several features for Drive, and one of them will fix the video issue in the file storage app.

Google will fix the situation by adding DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) transcodes for videos uploaded to Drive. In Google’s own words, DASH transcodes will enable adaptive bitrate playback by serving higher or lower resolution videos depending on factors such as the quality of the local network. This will provide significantly faster loading time until the start of the inserted video.

Rebuffering time for high-speed playback and normal playback has also been reduced. DASH transcodes will be applied to all new videos uploaded to Drive going forward, and Google says it will update existing videos in Drive by the end of the year.

New feature for Android from Google!

New feature for Android from Google!

Google Contacts widget is getting a useful feature that will come in handy for users. Here are the details…

The second feature announced by the Workspace blog is improved search filters for Google Drive’s Android and iOS apps. We first saw these updated filters in Google Drive in October, but they were hidden in the code. Google is finally starting to bring these new filters to the Drive app on mobile devices. Filters will currently only be available on iOS, with Android coming soon. There is no specific timeline. However, the company says it will offer an update to Android phones when the feature is ready.

Once these new filters are available, tap the search bar and you’ll find three filters: Type, People, and Modified. The People tab shows files from your recent contacts, while Type and Modified make it easy to filter search results by file type (documents, images, videos, etc.) and changes made.
