Ethereum’s Dencun update, which has been awaited for months, was implemented on the Goerli test network but could not be completed successfully.
Ethereum developers rolled out the update today around 09:30 GMT, but consensus could not be reached Couldn’t complete it for.

In order for the update to be completed successfully, the process must be confirmed and in a way that cannot be retracted into a block needs to be added.

Dencun update contains proto-danksharding in Ethereum with the method reducing the cost of data storage is targeted.
Following the Goerli network, Dencun is planned to be tested on the Sepolia and Holesky test networks, respectively.
