meal The energy group RWE is more optimistic than before about the new financial year. The board raised its forecast on Thursday.

According to this, RWE 2022 expects a result of between 3.6 and 4.0 billion euros for adjusted EBITDA at group level. So far, the company had promised a range of 3.3 to 3.6 billion.

The group cited a “dynamic market price environment” as the reason for the increased forecast. The prices for electricity, gas and other energy sources have risen, sometimes drastically, in recent months. RWE named 90 cents per share as a dividend target.

The RWE share gained more than four percent on Thursday morning after the report and was listed above the EUR 38 mark. The group will present the report for 2021 on March 15.
