Elizabeth II: The Queen is back in the home office – Royals

She is back! Elizabeth II (95) resumed her work in bright yellow – in the home office.

Less than a week after her medically prescribed rest break, Queen Elizabeth II again completed an official appointment on Tuesday. Via video switch she granted an audience to the ambassadors of South Korea and Switzerland, Gunn Kim and Markus Leitner. She smiled professionally and warmly, as always, and seems to be doing reasonably well again. Last week the queen had spent another night in a hospital.

She was officially taken to the London hospital for “precautionary examinations”. A planned Northern Ireland visit was canceled after doctors ordered her to rest. Her participation in the UN climate summit COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland, early next week was also canceled on Tuesday evening.

Buckingham Palace had only published bits and pieces of information about the Queen’s hospital stay, which had caused some criticism.

The Queen in the hospital – the British don’t know that from their boss. Britain’s longest-serving monarch is known for her robust health. The last time she was hospitalized in 2013 because of a gastrointestinal virus. When she recently used a stick at a public performance, Buckingham Palace promptly assured her that it was not related to any health problem.

Let’s hope the best for Her Majesty.
