Diesel scandal: Continental employees attack Wolfgang Reitzle

Düsseldorf, Frankfurt In the end, everyone actually had to pay: Volkswagen, later also Daimler, and the automotive suppliers Bosch and ZF – they were all involved in the diesel scandal and had to pay financially. Only one name has been missing from the list so far: Continental.

That could change soon. The Hanover public prosecutor’s office is targeting the supplier. The last escalation stage for the time being was the expulsion of CFO Wolfgang Schäfer in November. With him, the last board member who was involved in the events that went back to 2008 left the company. There is only one left from that time: Wolfgang Reitzle, who has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Continental since 2009.
