Dusseldorf On the German stock market, the leading index reached a new high for the year at 15,736 points. The Dax is currently up one percent and is trading at 15,730 points.
With the new high, the Dax has taken another important step towards the round mark of 16,000 points and the record high of 16,290 points.
The new high for the year should also have been the starting signal for the Easter rally. Similar to the much better known year-end or Christmas rally, stock markets also tend to strengthen in the week leading up to and following Easter.
