Dax loses over 300 points and slips to a new low for the year

Dusseldorf On the German stock market, the Dax slipped to a new low for the year after a pleasing start to trading, which is now at 12,436 points, two points below the previous low. The leading index is currently at 12,472 points, a drop of 2.4 percent or the equivalent of 307 points. All the stabilization tendencies of the past few days are gone, the downward trend of the past week has picked up speed again.

The previous record low was in March. At that time, the Russian shelling of a Ukrainian nuclear power plant caused panic on the stock market. There is no such concrete news today, Tuesday. Only the weak opening of the US stock exchanges weighed on the German market. And in the course of trading, the Dax has already reached a new three-month low, which should have caused additional sales.
