Building and planting is booming – How do-it-yourself stores benefit

Dusseldorf The temperatures are rising, the sun is beckoning: the first days of spring awaken many people’s spirits, people plan, work and plant their gardens. Garden centers and do-it-yourself stores have been benefiting from the trend for a long time and there is no indication that the do-it-yourself boom is coming to an end.

City states like Berlin and Hamburg have the fewest DIY stores per capita. For this, customers in the non-city states have to drive further to stock up on flower pots and water taps.

E-commerce also works for bulky goods – or maybe that’s why. In any case, the online sales of hardware stores are increasing significantly. A quarter of all sales are already achieved through this.
