London At the English bookmaker William Hill, Boris Johnson’s whole misery becomes clear. Hill now has a bet on the British Prime Minister’s exit. If you bet ten pounds that the head of government will not survive the year, you will currently get back 15.71 pounds if you win. The rate is so low because the scenario after Johnson’s “Partygate” scandal is considered quite likely.
The future of the prime minister has become the dominant issue in the kingdom. What began in December with a newspaper report about a lockdown Christmas party at Downing Street has grown into a state affair with repeated revelations about other allegedly illegal parties.
