BMW announced its most powerful car!

BMW launched its electric SUV, the iX, last week. The car drew attention with its 425 KM range, especially thanks to its electric four-wheel drive system. This vehicle, which went on sale with the slogan “Pioneering a New Age”, also became the pioneer of BMW’s newly introduced concept models.

Borusan Automotive CEO, Hakan Tiftik, in his statements about the iX model, stated that they wanted to put it up for sale as soon as it went on pre-sale in October, but that BMW postponed the sale for fear of increasing taxes. The German automotive company introduced its new concept vehicle, the XM, after the iX model it launched. The details of the vehicle are in our news…

BMW introduced its new vehicles that represent its vision for the future in electric mobility. SDN Founder Hakkı Alkan shared his experiences by taking a test drive with the BMW iX3 electric vehicle.

Second standalone M model after 1970 M1

BMW XM concept is the second standalone M model after the late 1970s M1. The XM is a plug-in hybrid powered car that uses the company’s twin-turbocharged V-8 engine. The vehicle has the feature of being the most powerful M package with 750 horsepower. The car, which is expected to hit the production line in 2022, is estimated to be produced in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

BMW M’s Chief Design Officer, Marcus Syring, revealed that to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, he wanted something unexpected and was inspired by the original M packages. Considering that one out of every three vehicles sold in the United States is a BMW SUW, it would not be wrong to say that such a vehicle would break sales records.

An “SUV” to fit the high-performance vehicle segment

With this concept, BMW says it’s making an SUV to fit the growing segment of high-performance vehicles like the Lamborghini Urus and the Ferrari Purosangue, details expected soon. Previously leaked photos had suggested that BMW was working on an X8 and X8 M coupe-like SUV to line up above the X7’s three-row SUV, but it looks like XM has taken those vehicles. Syring also announced that “the new SUV will only be sold as a high-performance M model and will cover approximately 80% of BMW production in the next year.”

“Good design starts with good proportions”

Good design starts with good proportions, said Syring XM’s design, which introduced BMW’s SUVs, combining elements of M Power, luxury class and electrification. Its thin daytime running lights and horizontal kidney grille gain an aggressive look when approaching other cars, and the SUV has the same 122.2-inch wheelbase as the X7 SUV.

The designer designed the diamond-like seats because they wanted XM’s driver and passengers to feel like rock stars. The center controls and vents are arranged in a group of three, like the M logo. It seems that the production of the seats designed with quilted leather material on the rear seats will be difficult. Since it is a concept vehicle, of course, there will be differences.

According to BMW, it’s the most powerful production M package car ever, with more horsepower than its rivals; The Lamborghini Urus 641 has 710 horsepower from the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid 670 and the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. The production version of this powerful concept vehicle will be announced approximately next year. Its price is expected to be over $100,000 in America.
