wither (SOL) co-founder Raj Gokal is optimistic about the prospects of an Ethereum (ETH) competitor in the long run.
Gokal tells TechCrunch+ that Solana crypto- He said it could become as dominant in the field as Apple in the consumer electronics industry.
“Solana has the potential to be the Apple of crypto.
I think of Apple, it worked for close to a decade on the latency of touchscreens to get the iPhone out, and it felt like magic.
This platform had a lot to build on to bring the iPhone, the App Store, and the app ecosystem to where it is today. But it all started with focusing on a simple interaction that should work perfectly.”
According to Gokal, Solana’s engineering team and ecosystem are putting an Apple-like focus on user experience and performance to make the network “feel like a regular internet, even though it’s a completely new financial internet.”
Altcoins The co-founder says that going forward, the layer-1 blockchain will focus on growth.
“The core thesis is focused on new businesses, new projects, independent developers. We are still in a community that is optimistic about what one ecosystem and two developers can do.”
Gokal says the Solana blockchain-based smartphone, launched last month, will help more people access crypto products and services without having to use a computer.
