Munich Puma boss Björn Gulden is facing a change to the crisis-ridden competitor Adidas. The Norwegian announced his departure from Puma at the end of the year on Friday. Shortly thereafter, Adidas confirmed talks about a move.
No official decision has been made yet. But investors were already celebrating the impending change.
The Adidas share increased by almost 30 percent to 121 euros on Friday when the first speculations made the rounds and finally ended Xetra trading with a plus of almost 21 percent at 113.46 euros. Since the beginning of the year, the titles had lost more than half of their value. The Puma share, on the other hand, fell by four percent to 44.50 euros and finally went around 1.1 percent down at 45.81 euros from trading.
