The theme-appropriate application icons feature introduced with Android 12 has now become much more interesting. Meta, Instagram and Facebook logo will now adapt for Android themed icons feature. This latest round of material design, which has been in our lives for about two years, offers a much more minimal Android experience.
Instagram and Facebook logos are now more minimal with the Android-themed icon feature
Exactly two years ago, the material design language appeared with an important update with Android 12. As you know, Google is constantly trying to make its design language more minimal. The theme-compatible icons feature that came with Material You and Android 12 was the last fruit of this effort.
However, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram resisted Google’s efforts for a long time. Twitter gave up this stubbornness at the end of 2022. However, Meta has not chosen to comply with this design to date. But how will the Instagram and Facebook logo change with this new design?
As seen above, with the themed icon feature, application icons appear in a color suitable for the current theme.
Although this feature of Android looks quite enjoyable, unfortunately manufacturers do not always support such features in their interfaces.
Unfortunately, Google Pixel phones produced with this design are not sold in our country. However, it is possible to download icon packs like Material You from Google Play.
Currently, a feature similar to Material You and the Android themed icon feature has not come to Android-based interfaces. However, we know that Google shares all its features with manufacturers with each Android version. The important thing is that manufacturers enable these Android features.
Of course, covering the entire design in a certain theme and color with the Material You feature is a very stylish look. However, each brand has its own design language, and this does not always parallel Android.
So what do you think? Would you like to use the themed icon feature and Material You if it came to your phone? We are waiting your comments.
