World’s First SMS Sold as NFT

Vodafone’s test message, which was sent on 3 December 1992 and was the first SMS, was sold as NFT and found a buyer. SMS was sold for 107 thousand euros.

The person who buys the SMS, on the other hand, will not only have digital ownership of it, but also the framed physical presence of the SMS for legal reasons.

The revenue from the SMS, which was sent exactly 29 years ago, will be donated to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). SMS was expected to be sold for 100 – 200 thousand euros and the expectation came true.
