Turkish artificial intelligence model Caretta

The Turkish artificial intelligence model, named after the endangered Caretta Caretta, which prefers Turkish coasts to lay eggs, has broken new ground for a sustainable world. Consisting entirely of Turkish engineers
With Caretta, prepared by the Cypien AI team and offered as an open source, companies will be able to calculate their carbon emissions and take steps in this regard.

All international organizations, including the United Nations, draw attention to carbon emissions as one of the biggest threats to the future of our world. Carbon emissions, which increase greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere, reflect heat from the sun, causing an increase in temperature on the earth and forming the basis of climate changes.

Setting out to contribute to a sustainable world, Cypien AI has developed an artificial intelligence model named after the sea creature Caretta, which is struggling to survive. Trained by the Cypien AI team with only Turkish data on sustainability, Caretta aims to enable companies to obtain information about carbon emissions and calculate their own carbon emissions.

Amazon has made its artificial intelligence-supported assistant Amazon Q generally available!

Amazon Q is available in two different editions for both developers and enterprise users: Amazon Q Developer and Business.

The model can answer carbon emissions by directly calculating the questions asked and creates a resource that companies can benefit from in their business processes. Caretta can also be integrated into chatbots, virtual assistants and other artificial intelligence systems in Turkish and English.

The project, which took approximately 12 months, was completed without the use of synthetic data. Engineers meticulously analyzed the data obtained from various platforms and documents for 6 months and transformed them into data sets. As a result of comprehensive performance tests carried out on artificial intelligence models such as Falcon, Mistral and Bloom, it was decided to use the Mistral-7b model in this project.

This evaluation process took 4 months and played an important role in the overall success of the project. In the last two months, the project was completed and subjected to a comprehensive testing process. During this process, the performance and effectiveness of the project were evaluated in detail.

Caretta, the only model in its field with a Turkish language infrastructure, prepared by fine-tuning with Mistral AI’s Mistral-7b transformer deep learning model and available under the Apache-2.0 license, is at the service of not only technology users but also those interested in all sectors with its ‘open source’ nature. It is offered free of charge.

In today’s world where technology companies are criticized a lot about carbon emissions, the Cypien AI team, which sets out with the sensitivity of contributing to a sustainable world, offers Caretta especially as open source. Caretta is online with its first version, and its advanced second version, supported by studies and data sets in the field of green sustainability, is planned to be published soon.
