Which injustice states should replace Russia’s energy supplies?

The vast majority of raw materials have a common problem in common, but it is often and willingly overlooked: many are covered in dirt and blood. This is obvious in the case of rare earths from China or the mineral coltan required for mobile phones, which children in Africa scrape out of tunnels they have dug themselves. But oil and natural gas also come mostly from states that despise democracies and violate human rights. Norway, Great Britain and the USA are rather exceptions as large oil and gas producers.

But the quantities promoted by such model states are not even sufficient for Europe and America. But without these raw materials there would be no industry – and no more affluent societies in the West. Obligations from the Supply Chain Act are now intended to encourage German companies to ensure that their suppliers comply with human rights, do not use child labor and comply with environmental protection standards.
