One of the candidates before Sarıyer’s upcoming local elections AK Party Sarıyer Mayor Candidate Hüseyin Coşkundraws attention with its solution-oriented approach to the important problems of the city. Coşkun, who was the guest of SDN Founder Hakkı Alkan’s interview, talked about Sarıyer’s current issues and solution suggestions.
What will be the municipal impact on fiber internet?
Expanding fiber internet infrastructure and fast internet access in Sarıyer is among the priority targets. Steps will be taken to support the spirit of entrepreneurship and stimulate the local economy through technology campuses. It is aimed to increase young people’s interest in technology through training and investment programs that aim to raise new Selçuk Bayraktars.
Creating new parking areas in Sarıyer is seen as an important step to alleviate the traffic problem. Improving public transportation facilities and expanding the use of electric vehicle charging stations will promote environmentally friendly transportation. With the completion of the Sarıyer-Ayazağa-Çayırbaşı tunnel project, it is aimed to make the traffic flow more regular.
In order to prevent sea pollution, environmental protection measures will be taken by establishing treatment facilities. While developing tourism, priority will be given to the preservation of natural beauties and the use of renewable energy resources will be encouraged.
By establishing a library and youth center in every neighborhood, young people’s access to social and cultural activities will be facilitated. By using the idle Turban facilities as a youth camp, areas where young people can spend time in nature will be created. By organizing water sports festivals and competitions in Sarıyer, young people’s opportunities to do sports and compete will be increased.
Who is Hüseyin Coşkun?
Coşkun was born in Sarıyer in 1978 and his origins are in Koyulhisar district of Sivas. He completed his undergraduate education at Sakarya University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He started his political career in 2003 as AK Party Sarıyer District Board Member. Then, he served as AK Party Sarıyer District Deputy Chairman between 2009-2011 and 2011-2012.
Coşkun has been serving Sarıyer as AK Party Sarıyer Municipal Council Member and IMM Council Member since 2009. He is married and has three children.
