Dusseldorf The Volkswagen name is known around the world. The Powerco battery unit, on the other hand, is likely to be less familiar to people. The VW subsidiary is a job machine. The company wants to hire up to 20,000 people by 2030, currently there are almost 1,000. By the end of the year, the number should rise to 1,500 employees, says HR manager Sebastian Krapoth. His team conducts around 200 job interviews every month.

We are primarily looking for chemists, development and process engineers as well as proven procurement experts in the raw materials sector. Specialists who are in great demand worldwide – and are therefore well paid. “Experienced talents can easily earn six figures at Powerco in the highest pay grades,” says Krapoth.
