Volvo Truck Electric, two or three electric motors combined with an I-Shift gearbox adapted for electromobility, provide a smooth and powerful driving experience. 490 kW/666 HP power is also managed by a unique traction control system developed to overcome slippery surfaces.
Different driving modes are also available to set the desired performance, comfort and energy usage levels. The six-battery pack generates up to 540 kWh, providing ample range for many regional haul missions.
On the cabin side, Volvo Truck Electric offers enhanced comfort for the comfort and ergonomics of the drivers with its low-ceiling sleeper cab, sleeper cab, globetrotter sleeper cab and globetrotter XL sleeper cab options.
Providing a great transportation with a load capacity of up to 44 tons, Volvo Truck Electric reaches a distance of 300 km with a 4×2 tractor trailer. It charges fully in 9.5 hours with AC (43 kW) and 2.5 hours with DC (250 kW).
