Object discovered in Poland in April was a Russian missile
According to media reports, a military object discovered in a forest in Poland in April is a Russian missile. It is of the type CH-55, the broadcasters RMF FM and Polsat News report, citing unspecified informants. Polish authorities said in April that a “military object” had been found in a forest near the village of Zamosc, near the northern Polish city of Bydgoszcz, but did not provide details of its origin. The site is hundreds of kilometers from Poland’s borders with Ukraine, Belarus and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. Poland is concerned that its border area could be affected by the war in Ukraine. As recently as November, two people were killed near the border when a misguided Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile landed, the government in Warsaw suspects.
