The attorney general of the law enforcement agency, which deals with cryptocurrency investigations, said in a statement that crypto mixers US Department of Justice (DOJ) He stated that it was a challenge for him, but they certainly did not slow us down.
Eun Young Choi, director of DOJ’s national crypto enforcement team, said that enforcing the law against crimes with a crypto component is no different from many other activities.

DOJ’s strategy in crypto specifically focuses on how these tools can facilitate the commission of crimes.
Another piece of DOJ’s strategy includes the new Digital Asset Coordinator Network, which it announced in a recent report released as part of the White House’s executive mandate on crypto.
Choi said, “This is important to us because there is a lot of work to be done. “We need to make sure we have the appropriate resources and subject matter experts in the field to assist our own offices.”
Saying that crypto crimes are a global problem, Choi also stated that they are working with foreign law enforcement to support the efforts of the US Department of Justice.
Choi also detailed his entry into the crypto space, particularly around 2013, starting from his time as a prosecutor investigating cybercrime at the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
He said that now the prosecutors at the institution are developing their expertise in this area.
“We’ve done a lot of successful operations, I think we’ve done a lot of successful work involving the seizure of different cryptos that many people didn’t think we could do,” he said.
