US authorities launch investigations into Tesla

new York The bad news for Tesla is currently coming weekly. This Thursday, the US traffic regulator NHTSA initiated a new investigation of 416,000 vehicles from the electric car manufacturer. This involves “phantom braking”, sudden, dangerous emergency braking that can occur on models built in 2021 and 2022.

Over 350 complaints had previously been received. The stock reacted promptly: Tesla papers fell more than four percent on Thursday.

The NHTSA continues a series of public reprimands against Tesla. Because the headwind for the company in the home market is getting rougher. The shareholders feel it too: Since the beginning of the year, Tesla shares have lost almost 25 percent in value. Even the good figures presented at the end of January could not stop the downward trend.
