UNDP commissioned the Algorand Foundation to develop a training curriculum on web3 for its global staff. More than 22,000 employees from UNDP and other United Nations organizations will benefit from the Algorand Blockchain Academy. The curriculum will focus on practical applications of Blockchain technology in the field of sustainable development. Robert Pasicko, a UNDP research and data analyst specializing in alternative finance and low-carbon development, announced the initiative at the Algorand Impact Summit in New Delhi. The beta version of the course is planned to launch in the first quarter of 2024 and be gradually rolled out among UNDP’s global staff throughout the year. To further enrich the educational experience, representatives from Algorand ecosystem projects, including HesabPay, Wholechain, Koibanx and Quantum Temple, will actively participate in the initiative. Algorand’s collaboration with the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), a major technology advocacy group in India, is at the forefront of these efforts. This partnership aims to develop Web3 capabilities under NASSCOM’s FutureSkills Prime, a digital upskilling initiative developed with academia, IT industry and government.
